Hi! My name is Ms. Rosenthal and I am VERY excited to be teaching second grade at the South Elementary School! While I love spending the school year learning all about my students, I thought I would tell my students (and families) some things about myself!
I was born and raised in Southborough, Massachusetts, and I am the baby in my family. I have a half-brother who is seventeen (yes you read that correctly, I said 17!) years older than me. As a result, I'm closer in age to my niece, who is nine years younger, and nephew, who is twelve years younger! I love spending time with them and like to think of myself as a "cool aunt".
After graduating from Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, I went to Simmons College in Boston and stayed there for five years. Four of those years was spent getting my Bachelor's Degree, and the fifth year I received my Master of Arts and Teaching! Hurray! I could finally be a teacher! After graduation I spent a year working as a Teaching Assistant at the Broadmeadow School in Needham. Then I came to Stoughton and have been teaching here ever since!
I am currently in my seventh year of teaching and in my fifth year teaching second grade. I have also taught fourth grade! While fourth grade was fun, I LOVE second grade!
So what do teachers DO when they're not teaching? Sleep under the desk...just kidding! In my free time I love to read, go to the beach, run/jog, go to Red Sox games, and spend time with my family and friends. Oh, and I also enjoy spending time with my kitty Lola! She is six years old.
